Für die Kulturliebhaber können Sie von allem etwas erleben in Nerja und Umgebung. Es gibt jährlich eine Anzahl von großen Festen und Festivals. Fast jeden Monat findet eins statt, unter anderem: Die heiligen drei Könige im Januar, Karneval im Februar, Semana Santa im April, San Juan im Juni, Virgen del Carmen im Juli und die ganze Woche feiern während der Feria im Oktober.

Für Musikliebhaber findet dort jährlich ein Festival in Nerja statt. Das kulturelle Zentrum hat auch ein schönes Programm mit Musik, Tanz und Theater.

Nerja hat ein Museum, el museo del Nerja, worin die Geschichte von Nerja präsentiert wird. In Malaga und Granada gibt es zahlreiche Museen zu sehen, wobei dass Alhambra sowieso nicht verpasst werden sollte.

Jeden Dienstag und Sonntag findet in Nerja ein traditioneller Markt statt, wo das Angebot sehr groß ist: Lebensmittel, Kleidung, Schmuck und Gemälde.
